Delhi – Agra – Jaipur

Start with a tour of Delhi, before you head to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Experience more of the richness of the Mughal Empire with a stop in Fatehpur Sikri once the seasonal capital of the great Mughal ruler, Emperor Akbar. Continue on to the luscious, “pink city” of Jaipur, taking time to visit not only forts and palaces but the fascinating Jantar Mantar Observatory, a scientific phenomenon of its era. Your trip ends in Delhi, where you can enjoy a day of leisure and shopping!

Day 1 Arrive Delhi

Welcome to Delhi- the capital of India and one of India’s most beautiful and vibrant cities. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Relax or explore the city on your own.

Day 2 Delhi

Depart for a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, starting with a visit to Jama Masjid Mosque, past Red Fort. Visit Faj Ghat and Gandhi Museum. Later in the afternoon drive past the President’s Residence, Parliament House and visit the Qutab Minar and lastly the mausoleum of Emperor Humayun.

Day 3 Delhi-Agra

Drive to Agra, home of the famous Taj Mahal, situated on the banks of the Yamuna River. This city has a glorious past and was capital of various dynasties. Visit Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site followed by the Agra Fort, a blend of Hindu and Central Asian architecture. Visit Diwan-i-am, the Khas Palace and Sheesh Mahal as well as Jahani Mahal, Jahangiri Mahal and Akhbari Mahal inside the Fort.

Day 4 Agra-Jaipur

Enjoy breakfast and then drive to Jaipur with a stop en route at Fatehpur Sikri, once capital of the great Mughal ruler, Emperor Akbar.

Day 5 Jaipur

Proceed for a full day tour of Jaipur, the “pink city.” Visit Amber Fort, a classic romantic Rajasthani Fort Palace, followed by sightseeing of Jaipur, starting with a visit to the City Palace and later Jantar Mantar, the observatory.

Day 6 Jaipur-Delhi

Explore the traditional markets and take in the vibrant colors! Drive to Delhi in the afternoon.

Day 7 Delhi

The day is at leisure to do some more sightseeing or shopping on your own.
